First United Methodist Church of Colorado Springs History Collection

This digital collection is a sample of items from the physical collection of the First United Methodist Church of Colorado Springs History Collection. This Colorado church was known as the First Methodist Episcopal Church when it began, then later became the First United Methodist Church of Colorado Springs in 1968. This collection presents forty-two items of church history from 1912 to 1986, including photographs, worship service bulletins, and a term paper written for the Iliff School of Theology by the resident pastor in 1947 on the "Ideal Finance" for a church, having had fortunate financial success here. Also featured are three items from the 100th Anniversary of the the church in 1971. This collection was digitized by Baylee Suskin whose work has been graciously funded by the Mountain Sky Archives and History Commission.
